‘Sensory Park’ under construction at Wendell Foster

Imagine a park that caters to the senses. It’s a
park that’s beautiful to look at, with relaxing
sounds of wind through trees and running water. The
scent of flowers fills the air and the ground has
different textures, with various sculptures and
objects for people to reach out and touch.

April 28th, Wendell Foster's Campus began breaking ground for a new
Sensory Park.
A uniquely-designed, therapeutic park & gardens
with a projected opening in the Summer of 2009, this totally
accessible park will be open to the public and serve the needs of
children and families with disabilities.
